Plot summary

Inspired by true events, 96 minutes is the story of four immature lives slammed together in one shocking moment. The events of the nighttime in inner city Atlanta, Georgia, unfold in real time equally we inter-cutting between a carjacking and the beginning of that day, following four separate kids - who they are, where they come from, and the seemingly innocuous decisions that lead them towards a life changing determination. With no adults to guide them, they're left on their ain to endeavour to survive not only this evening, but the complex reality of the world they live in.

THEY'RE Not WHERE Y'all'RE FROM. THEY'RE WHERE YOU'VE BEEN.

The film opens with a nighttime time scene of iv youths riding in a car looking for a hospital because one of the girls is shot in the face. The shooter is also in the automobile and doesn't desire to go to jail. We then flash back to the separate lives of the 4 individuals, in far too typical indie fashion, to see what they were doing that day and how their lives came together.

Carley (Brittany Snowfall) is a pre-law student who has father issues. She is a driver and wants to graduate with honors. Lena (Christian Serratos) has decided to leave her uncaring beau Michael (Adam Trahan). Dre (Evan Ross) is in college and an escapee from a bad neighborhood. He thinks of himself equally being office of the gang, when really he is a proficient child. Kevin (Jonathan Michael Trautmann) is a white boy with an abusive home life. He will do anything to bring together a gang.

The film has good acting and a decent plot. The production seems to be aimed at helping would-be gangstas who are still in schoolhouse and not old white guys like me. If you like the indie manner, requite it a view.

F-bomb, no sex, no nudity.

Fine picture nearly devastating choices

One of the things that might bring the picture show down for you lot (as it did for me), was/is the interim. Information technology is very crucial to experience or at least be with those characters along the ride (no pun intended). The picture show does not achieve that goal wholly in my apprehensive stance. So while this is dramatic (and the storyline with flashbacks shouldn't be confusing, it'southward really adding to the suspense up to a point), it fails to really completely suck you in.

Is reality that dour though, is what some people seem to inquire, and the answer tin be aye. It depends where you live and what you consume. I was a bit mad at first, considering the motion-picture show showed ane character playing a war game and this graphic symbol is hostile. It feeds into clichés, which isn't really good. Fortunately they also showed, that other factors are playing a role in the development of ones character. Decent overall, worth a watch I'd say

Intense, true story, skilful performances

This flick kept me on the border of my seat! It cuts dorsum and forth between four immature people who are all struggling with machismo responsibilities while being from different ethnic, social, and economic backgrounds. The contrast is really what made it interesting, and how they all came together on this terrible night.

The performance past Evan Ross won him an a much deserved award at SXSW, and Jonathan Michael Trautmann also did a wonderful job. His presence on screen was frightening, and I was actually unsure of what his grapheme was capable of. Brittany Snowfall is besides worth mentioning, as I felt this was a very unlike role for her and she wore it well.

All effectually, this film is definitely worth a picket. Information technology's based on a true story and says a lot about adolescence, poverty, and the social classes of today.
